ProPhase was engaged by the Cineplex Playdium for a new build in Fairview Mall. This 20,000 sq. ft. complex will be dedicated to games and attractions for all skill levels, while offering a range of food and beverages. ProPhase has been tasked with providing electrical panels, transformers, the lighting systems, the fire alarm system as well as running the cable trays and conduits for communications and data.
Effective project management and meticulous execution are critical to ProPhase’s process:
Conducting site visits to assess the new build requirements. Identify specific needs for electrical distribution and communications conduits.
Regular meetings with Cineplex Playdium’s project managers and key stakeholders to be clear on their sprecific goals, timelines, and expectations.
Deploying specialized teams for each aspect of the project. Each team consisted of experts in their respective fields to ensure high-quality work.
Implementing rigorous safety protocols to maintain a clean safety record and ensure the wellbeing of all workers and Cineplex Playdium’s employees.
Scheduling work teams to coordinate with other contractors during the build-out of the new Cineplex Playdium.
Identifying specific needs for communication and data systems, electrical installations, power generation, and building automation systems.
Making sure project managers and key stakeholders align on project goals, timelines, and expectations.

Our 4 challenges faced during the project include:
Synchronizing the installation and integration of communication and data systems, electrical systems, power generation, and building automation systems across multiple locations.
Maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency throughout the project to meet Cineplex Playdium’s operational and regulatory requirements.
Adhering to strict project timelines to ensure that each store was operational as per the schedule.
ProPhase installed robust communication and data infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and data flow across the store locations. This included fiber optic cabling, network setup, and data center installations.
Comprehensive electrical systems were installed, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency power systems. ProPhase’s attention to detail ensured that all installations met Cineplex Playdium’s high standards for safety and reliability.
Energy-efficient cogeneration systems were implemented to provide stable and cost-effective power. These systems not only reduced energy costs but also contributed to a lower carbon footprint, aligning with Cineplex Playdium’s sustainability goals.
